Overview

Field Supply is an independent marketplace bringing together carefully selected products from makers around the world. The brand needed an experience that could communicate the story behind each product while keeping discovery and purchasing frictionless.

The work focused on creating a stronger relationship between editorial content and commerce. Product stories, collections, and individual details were brought into a unified system designed to help visitors discover something new without losing sight of the practical information they need.

The Challenge

The marketplace had a wide range of products and makers, but the existing experience treated them primarily as items in a catalogue. This made it difficult for visitors to understand what made each product or collection worth discovering.

The challenge was to bring more personality into the shopping experience without compromising usability. The system needed to support a growing catalogue while creating clear pathways between discovery, product information, and checkout.

The Solution

I designed an experience where editorial storytelling and product discovery work together. Collections became curated entry points, while product pages were structured to introduce context before moving into specifications and purchasing information.

A flexible component system allows new products and collections to be added without disrupting the visual language. The result is a more considered shopping experience that gives both products and makers room to tell their stories.
