Overview
Luma is an experimental digital experience created to explore how motion and interaction can transform a simple visual system into something more immersive. The project sits somewhere between a website, a visual experiment, and an interactive installation.
Rather than starting with conventional interface patterns, the work began with movement, scale, and light. The goal was to create an experience that rewards exploration while maintaining enough structure for visitors to understand where they are and what they can discover.
The Challenge
The experience needed to feel expressive without becoming difficult to navigate. With motion playing such a central role, there was a constant tension between creating moments of surprise and maintaining a clear sense of control.
The challenge was to build an interaction system where animation supported the experience rather than becoming decoration. Transitions, pacing, and responsive behavior all needed to work together across different screen sizes and interaction methods.
The Solution
I developed a visual system built around layered surfaces, controlled movement, and responsive transitions. Interactions were designed to reveal information progressively, allowing the experience to feel dynamic while maintaining a predictable underlying structure.
Motion became part of the storytelling rather than an additional layer on top of it. The final experience uses a small set of carefully tuned interaction patterns that can be reused across different sections without overwhelming the visitor.

Results
An experimental experience that turns interaction into part of the story while keeping exploration intuitive.
